Vlog.ng respects the rights of creators and copyright owners, and we expect everyone here to do the same. This policy explains what to do if you believe content on Vlog.ng infringes your copyright, and what happens if your content is removed.

1. Respecting copyright

Only upload content you made or have the right to use. Using someone else's video, music, or images without permission can infringe their copyright, even if you credit them. If you are not sure you have the rights, do not post it.

2. Filing a copyright notice

If you own a copyright and believe your work has been used on Vlog.ng without permission, you can submit a notice through our contact page using the “Copyright / DMCA” topic. To help us act quickly, please include:

  • Your name and contact details, and, if you are acting for someone else, who you represent.
  • A description of the work you say was infringed.
  • The link to the specific video or content on Vlog.ng.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by you, your agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury where applicable, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
  • Your signature (typing your full name is fine).

When we receive a valid notice, we will review it and, where appropriate, remove or restrict the content and let the uploader know.

3. Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or that you have the rights to use it, you can send a counter-notice through the same channel. Include the content that was removed and where it appeared, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction that applies. We may restore the content unless the original claimant takes further legal steps.

4. Repeat infringers

We keep track of copyright strikes. Accounts that repeatedly infringe may lose access to features, and in appropriate cases will be closed. We apply this policy in a way that is fair to creators.

5. Misuse of notices

Filing a false or bad-faith notice, or a false counter-notice, is a serious matter and may carry legal consequences. Please only use this process for genuine copyright concerns, not to silence criticism or competition.
